Fold with Midori!!

My origami workshop video from the Japanaroo Opening Night is now available to everyone!
The simple bird and Ninja star are traditional origami but I created the variations with my own ideas.
Eastern Spinebill is the bird on the Australian $5 note.
There are more than 180 species of Honey Eaters in the world and 80 of them live in Australia. Eastern Spinebill is one of them.
Do you know the bird on the $5 note flaps its wings if you tilt the note back and forth?

A YouTuber, Shina Fly interviewed me.
She is a really nice and fun person to talk to.
She likes origami and we made many origami together.

I am featured on the Japanee Cultural Directory

The Consulate-General of Japan, Sydney released a cultural dictionary of the artists on their website in September 2020.

They told me that I was chosen to be one of them because I have received the award in 2016, I am so delighted to be in it.
In 2016, I received a Consul-General’s Commendation award for my work towards origami.
I have been working very hard but it was a surprise that the government recognised me.
I’m still doing my best and enjoying the origami.
Thank you very much, everyone! I couldn’t do without your support.

I was featured on the local magazine in September.

It is so nice to see my artwork in a nice big room.
You can see my spring exhibition, “Untangled – Follow the red string” at the eye doctors Mona Vale between September and November 2020.
I am honoured to be featured. The local magazine, Pittwater life wrote about my exhibition.
So thrilled to see about my exhibition on a magazine!
