Ryokan Gojyuan Open day

Ryokan Gojyuan is an unique Japanese style accommodation in Sydney.
The Australian & owner, Linda loves Japan and she renovated her home into a small Ryokan. Once you step inside, you feel like you are already in Japan!
She organises Japanese cultural workshops and I run origami workshops and Koto no Wa workshops monthly.
We had an open day in August 2018, we had a record number of visitors.
The visitors admired my origami artworks and sumi ink drawings. Feel so great to chat with people who like the Japanese culture.
I wore kimono and also played the koto, Japanese traditional musical instrument. It was a really nice day.

How lucky I am!

May 2018
Mr Takewaka, the consul-general of Japan, Sydney invited me and Mayu Kataoka, a Sydney-based photographer for lunch at his house.
How lucky I am! I made a kimono bird specially for him and presented to Mr & Mrs Takewaka.
I was so glad that they liked my origami.
